Toy Box Private Day Nursery and Pre-School is situated within the grounds of Woodhouse Primary School on Daisy Road, Brighouse. We are registered for 54 children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years.

Toy Box has also achieved Steps to Quality 1, 2 & 3 as well as consistently maintaining a 5 star rating from Environmental Health for Food and Hygiene standards.

Here at Toy Box we fully understand that choosing childcare for your child is one of the most difficult decisions a parent has to make. To this end we offer an open door policy and encourage all potential parents to drop in unannounced and see the nursery in operation.

Our aim is to foster a close relationship between staff, parents and children as we feel this is the best way to help each individual child to achieve their full potential.

Our highly qualified and experienced staff team is lead by Nursery Manager, Claire McCartney and Deputy Manager Sam Collier.

All staff are DBS checked and have current Paediatric First Aid training. Staff also attend regular training to ensure that their knowledge and skills are kept up to date.

The Nursery is open plan design with adjoining large, bright airy conservatories and large outdoor play areas. This facilitates a spacious and calm learning environment for all ages regardless of the weather. 

Outside there is a large enclosed playground with grass, tarmac and a soft play area providing plenty of space for the children to run around and let off steam. A separate soft play area is partitioned off for the exclusive use of the babies.

Toy Box has close links with Woodhouse Primary School as well as other schools in the local area.

Toy Box offers funded sessions for 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds.

Toy Box operates a full set of Policies and Procedures which are available in the entrance lobby for parent/ carer's inspection.
